Feel Better. Move Better.
What to Expect During Your Stretch
If you’ve never experienced an assisted stretch before, get ready to feel amazing! At the start of your session, I’ll talk with you about your current flexibility, mobility, any past injuries, and the goals you want to achieve from your sessions. I’ll also walk you through what to expect so you feel comfortable and confident from the beginning.
Your stretch should never be painful — communication is key, and I’ll check in with you throughout the session to make sure everything feels safe, effective, and comfortable. Wear clothing that allows you to move freely; activewear is ideal for full mobility.
I use a “Push and Release” style of stretching. This is proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation stretching or “PNF”. At certain moments, I’ll have you lightly engage the muscle, then fully relax it. This method helps your body release deeper tension, improve mobility, and melt into each stretch with ease.
Sessions can be done in the comfort of your own home, or you’re welcome to come to my studio for your stretch — whichever works best for you.
Stretching should feel good, not Painful.
“No pain, no gain”? Not in my sessions.
You’ll definitely feel tension during your stretch, but never pain. I check in with you throughout the entire session to make sure you’re comfortable, and I adjust every stretch to your needs.
I’ll also ask you to rate the intensity on your own personal 1–10 scale. We aim for about a 7—a deep, effective stretch, but still comfortable. If anything ever feels like it’s getting too intense, just let me know.
Some people love a deeper stretch, others prefer something lighter. You’re always in control, and I’m here to make sure the stretch feels good, safe, and right for your body.
FAQs
How often should I get stretched?
Just like anything you want to improve, consistency matters. Instead of memberships, I offer session packs so you can get stretched regularly—once a week, twice a week, or whatever fits your body best.
After your first session, we’ll talk about your flexibility, mobility, activity level, and personal goals. From there, I’ll recommend the most effective session frequency for your needs.
What is my background?
I come from a unique blend of experience in both service and human performance. Before becoming a Stretch Specialist, I spent 7 years in the U.S. Coast Guard, where staying physically and mentally ready was essential—especially during Search and Rescue operations. That’s where I learned the importance of proper movement, recovery, and taking care of the body so it can keep up with the demands of life.
After my service, I pursued education in Personal Training and Corrective Exercise, originally just to improve my own training and wellbeing. That path led me to work at StretchLab, where I completed their nationally accredited Flexologist Training Program—an intensive education in stretching, anatomy, and working safely with clients of all ages, body types, and mobility levels.
Now, with years of hands-on experience and professional training, I help clients improve flexibility, reduce tension, move better, and feel good in their bodies—whether they’re athletes, office warriors, or anyone looking for a mobility reset.
What if I have an injury?
I don’t stretch anyone who’s dealing with an acute injury—anything recent, sharp, swollen, or actively painful. If that’s the case, it’s important to see a doctor or physical therapist first and get cleared before booking a session. I’m not a physical therapist, and your safety always comes first.
If you have chronic tightness, ongoing discomfort, or long-term mobility issues, assisted stretching can often help—but only with your doctor or physical therapist’s approval. Once you’re cleared, I’m happy to work with you safely and gently.
Do I have to make an appointment?
Yes, please!
Booking ahead ensures I can fully prepare for your session and give you the time, attention, and customized stretch you deserve. Appointments help me stay organized, keep sessions running smoothly, and make sure your spot is reserved—especially on busy days.
Same-day availability isn’t always guaranteed, so scheduling in advance is the best way to secure your preferred time.
